]]>Oh to be in my 20's again!! Even though I am still obsessed with fashion and the current trends, my "soon to be 36-years-old with 2 kids" body can't do this style justice. So, I live vicariously through all my 20 year old models. And can we just take a minute and talk about how amazing it is that fanny packs are FINALLY back in fashion?! The collection I had 20 years ago was freaking incredible, and I'm feeling pretty sad that I got rid of all of them.
It has been almost 3 years since Sabrina stepped in front of my camera for her Senior Portraits, and she was better than ever! I loved catching up with her and using her to play around with some new lighting techniques. We are getting ready to launch our new Model/Portfolio Building Line this Fall (KCP Portfolios or KCP Models - which one do you like better?) I can't even begin to describe how excited we're getting about it!
Are you a previous KCP Senior? Interested in building a portfolio, or are you working on your IG feed and need some new fresh images? Contact us and we would love to help you out!!
Definitely show some love below if you like Sabrina's images, she was an incredible tester and I can't wait to get her in front of my camera again!!
Make sure you follow our Instagram (especially for Model calls): Cadwallader Photography
This outfit makes me miss my fanny pack so much! A simple one-piece paired with a classic denim jacket and topped off with a fanny pack. What more could you want?!
Here's another super stylish yet still casual way to spice up a simple one-piece. A gorgeous corduroy jacket, grey tennis shoes, and a delicate necklace.
WOWZA! This outfit is perfect for when you're going out but your friends INSIST you wear something casual. Just because you're going casual doesn't mean you can't look hot!
Look at my gorgeous model! Seriously, go follow her down below. And if you want a fun shoot like this then message me on Insta ;)
Now this is the outfit to wear when you want to turn some heads. This camo look does everything but blend in, and paired with fuzzy heels you'll be the center of attention wherever you go.

Welcome to Part 2 of my NYFW Fall/Winter '18 three part series! Runway fashion serves as inspiration for what we are going to wear for the season, so no you don't have to wear sky high heels and bright yellow eyeshadow. I like to think of runway shows as mood boards for what I am going to wear. Here I am going to break down a few runway outfits from my last post and also show some of my favorite street style looks so check out my last post, "New York Fashion Week: Fall-Winter 2018" and enjoy!
For this ensemble, you have to look at the pieces and fit rather than fabric. This runway look is telling us that pairing a chunky sweater and midi skirt takes a casual winter outfit and makes it look chic. This outfit is super simple to recreate and personally I love pairing a floral midi skirt with a crop sweater (because I was not blessed with lengthy legs of a supermodel and when I wear two pieces that are boxy I end up looking like a shapeless blob) and either booties or a pair of flat white tennies.
You may be thinking, if I bought something like this I would 1) spend way too much and 2) wear it once to something important and then never wear it again because everyone already saw me in it; and you'd be right. So for this look pay attention to the colors and the general silhouette. The fit of the dress is classic, and I promise there are cheap versions that match this style, I always check Forever 21 first because let's be real their stuff is cheap and usually pretty fashion forward. Next is the color, this bright mustard color is showing up EVERYWHERE this season so you definitely want to incorporate it into your wardrobe. A sure-fire way to add color into your clothing collection is add it through accent pieces like small purses, jewelry, and sweaters instead of making big buys that will go out of style by next season.
This outfit is so simple that it almost needs no explanation. But I will because it's too cute not to talk about. First off, if you're like me and not blessed with legs like skyscrapers, instead of investing in a pair of boot cut trousers, instead stick with your favorite high-waisted jeans and call it a day. Next, take a look at the pattern on the top, it includes classic black and white but also this years go-to trendy color Ultra Violet (check out my blog post on Pantone's Color of the Year: Ultra Violet). This is another hint that this year you should keep it classic but incorporate some bright and fun colors.
Ok, I know what you're thinking... "wut." But don't fear, this runway look is not telling you that in order to be fashionable you have to dress like this model! Let's walk through this look together. Starting from the top is the blush pink baseball cap. This takes a typically masculine style and adds femininity to it, this has been a running theme at this years NYFW, so take your favorite baseball cap or tailored blazer and rock it with feminine flare!
This look contains so many different trends from the runway and mixes them to form a completely wearable outfit. Also, take any single piece and it will make any plain outfit fashion forward.
One of my personal favorite street looks from NYFW, this outfit combines classic pieces and puts a modern twist on them. The pants look straight out of a french new wave film but they are made current by pairing them with a killer latex jacket and some rockin shades.
Another, albeit more dramatic, use of the latex jacket as a trench coat paired with red boots and a white purse. This look manages to be both chic and edgy, classic and modern-- but altogether gorgeous!
BINGO! This look is probably the easiest to recreate and still super stylish! I'm pretty sure I've found a dupe for every single item in this outfit at either Forever 21 or Zara! Just grab a pair of boyfriend cut jeans, a patterned button down, your favorite pair of sunnies, and a sick coat. You're out the door and looking like a million bucks!
This last one is another super simple outfit, and if you couldn't tell already, there is definitely a theme with these street looks. All you need this winter is a few staples to mix and match with and you'll have a huge variety of outfits to try out. I suggest buying a few different styles of sweaters (knit, turtleneck, mock turtleneck, etc.), a pair or two of jeans you feel comfortable and confident in, a unique coat that matches everything, and a pair of booties for the ages.

Needless to say, I'm ALL FOR IT!!! As NYFW has ended, I am going to be posting a short series on not only runway looks but also celeb looks, street style, and trends to look out for! It's getting to be one of the most exciting times of the year and to say I'm excited would be an understatement. New York Fashion Week is rapidly approaching, the Oscars are right around the corner, and the Pantone Color of the Year has been officially announced! The gorgeous color they picked is called "Ultra Violet," and with that kind of name I think Bob Ross would be proud. Last years color of the year showed up all over red carpets, street fashion, and you probably even incorporated it into your wardrobe without realizing. So be ahead of the curve this year and check out some of my favorite ways Ultra Violet has been used already.
Make a statement with a plushy, faux fur coat. For some added edge (and just to be a lil extra) pair with some chunky combat boots.
Brightly colored hair is perfect for those of us who tend to stick to the same color palette (aka all black) but still want to have some fun with color.
Ok this whole post may have just been an excuse to post this picture of Timothée Chalamet, but who can blame me?
For those days when it's freezing in the morning and hot in the afternoon... and you also have blue hair.
A phone case that showcases just how trendy you are while also showing your artsy side, because you're just that deep.
Love the hat, love the tweed, love the latex boots. It just might be the perfect outfit.
This is an outfit that is absolutely wearable, comfortable, and the splash of color makes the whole thing come together perfectly.
Selena Gomez is a goddess that knows how to keep it simple. The purple skirt adds a little twist to the classic t-shirt, jeans, and tennies.
After searching through the internet for outfits with Ultra Violet I was completely blown away by the fact that this color is EVERYWHERE! Make sure to grab something in this gorgeous color before all the cute stuff is gone! As always, make sure to follow Katie and I on all our social media, and also comment down below what's your favorite way to style Ultra Violet!

The most important thing to remember about Valentine’s Day is it’s an annually thing, so if not this year, there is always next! But in the meantime, here are some helpful date/gift ideas for Vday.
First off, let’s talk about cute date ideas. If you are looking for a more laid back night, then game/movie night is the perfect date for you. This super low budget date idea not only saves you money, but it also is a great opportunity to enjoy each other’s company. All you need are some comfy clothes, snacks, a great movie, board games, and hey, build a fort while you’re at it!
Another great date idea is going to a local pottery painting place and showing off your painting skills. This is an awesome way to bring a little fun and light-heartedness to a day that seems to be more serious and romantic. Not to mention your creativity! So go take your date to paint a mug, or a plate, or even a dinosaur riding a skateboard if you're into that sort of thing (seriously, they have everything).
Lastly, a great Valentine's Day date night would be going to your bf/gf's favorite restaurant for dinner. I know, I know, dinner on Valentine's Day? So original. Although this cliche date night may be what everyone and their mothers are doing, it nonetheless can be a special and heartfelt moment. So dress up nice (or go in your pajamas, there's no judgement here) go to dinner, have some dessert while you're at it, and enjoy your Valentine's date night. After all, it's not like it's their birthday or something (unless it is, then maybe combine all three of these date nights together for that extra pizzazz).
Personally, when it comes to gifts I am more of a heartfelt kind of girl. I much rather have someone put more thought into a gift than money because the value of the gift shouldn't be about the price tag, but the effort.
With that being said, we ran a Twitter poll and it seems like a lot of people agree!
Now, here are some gift ideas that will make him/her melt and they also won't break your bank!
First we have a super cute and creative way to give your significant other a picture of you two. I would have never imagined putting a picture in a mason jar and filling it up with vegetable oil would be a great idea, but hey, I guess you do learn something new everyday. All you need for this gift is a mason jar, vegetable oil, and a picture big enough to fit. Once all the ingredients are placed in the jar, have some fun decorating the outside with some of your bf/gf's fav things.
This next gift is aimed for the ladies in particular, but if you know your man loves him some flowers, then by all means take this idea into consideration. This gift is simple but still a very cute idea. You'll need picture frame (obviously filled with a cute pic of you two), a box of chocolates, and flowers. This gift is basically the definition of basic Valentine's Day gifts, but hey, it's still an adorable idea amirite? I don't know, maybe it's just something about the Vday vibes, but no matter what kind of season it is, you can never go wrong with flowers, a cute pic, and chocolates!
Last but not least, is a necklace/keychain for your gf/bf with your initials, or both of your initials. This gift is my favorite idea and who wouldn't want to wear the initial of their boo? There are some embroidered key chains and necklaces that defeat the whole purpose of not breaking the bank. Luckily we have a beautiful thing called Amazon. The price range for both these items are anywhere from $10-$30 depending on the material and style. Although this gift can be the most expensive one out of the three, if you are willing to spend the money then I say go for it!

Milan & Tatianna: The KCP Bloggers
TATIANNA
Hey guys, it's Tati again! I'm writing this, per usual, in pajamas with my hair in a rats nest and desperately wishing I could look as good as Katie manages to make me look in all her pictures. Now if you haven't read the blog before, I've been writing for KCP for almost a year now and I love working for Katie! I post anything from Senior Spotlights to college tips to ramblings about my celebrity crushes (I mean did you see Kit Harrington at the Golden Globes?!). I'm currently attending GCU and working towards my BA in Digital Film with and Emphasis in Screenwriting. My biggest hobby/love is acting, whether it's improv or student films I adore it all! I tend to consider myself a big movie buff (but honestly my fav movies are anything that star Ryan Gosling or Leo DiCaprio)! This year my biggest goals for the blog are to post more about all my favorite things; celebs, fashion, and of course, KCP seniors! I'm super stoked for this new year as we welcome on our new blogger (who is such a sweetie!), add new and exciting content, and connect even more with you guys! Make sure to comment down below, or reach out on social media if you have any posts you want to see, suggestions for the blog, or just want to chat (because let's be honest, I'd much rather be talking to you guys than listening to my professor that looks uncannily like Mr. Feeny from Boy Meets World).
MILAN
Hey guys! My name is Milan Andrade and I am the newest blogger to the team! I am 17-years-old and I am a senior at Perry High School. My favorite hobbies are pretty much what every teenager my age loves to do. Hangout with friends, family, sleep, and eat. But those hobbies only scratch the surface of who I am. On my freetime time I love staying active and writing in my journal. After high school I plan on attending college to study journalism in hopes to one day be in front of the camera broadcasting, or behind the scenes writing. You’re probably wondering what school I am going to for journalism and my answer to that is, I have no clue! I have applied to different schools so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see and let the chips fall where they may. Oh, and one last thing. I have insane Bieber Fever and plan on marrying Justin Bieber in the future. In my eyes, his options are between me or Selena Gomez (my bff who doesn’t know she’s my bff). Some may call this deranged, but I call it optimistic.

Back in October we took 3 of our KCP Senior Squad Models up to Flagstaff for our Fall Outfit shoot, and of course we had to wait to post until we finally hit the temperature where we could actually wear the clothes!
Where is your favorite place to buy Fall Outfits? Mine is definite Old Navy, Vici, and Forever 21 (they always have the best sweaters). Comment below your favorites stores! We would love to share some different options!
And now, check out some of the outfits our KCP Senior Squad Models put together!
]]>Hey guys! Its Milan Andrade! Wow, I honestly cannot believe I'm senior (even though I can pass as a freshman) and that I'm graduating! Time is moving way too fast and it seriously needs to slow down! After all I still just a kid, right?
I absolutely loved getting my senior pictures taken by Katie. Ever since I was nine-years-old, I knew she would be the perfect person for the job. It all started when Katie was beginning photography and she shot a few pictures of my mom and I for our Christmas card. Here we are 10 years later; me getting ready to graduate and Katie with a very successful photography business. Time sure does fly by when you're having fun!
Enough of the mushy gushy details, it's time to talk fashion!
To start us off, I loved getting my hair and makeup done (partially because I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing when I do my own). I showed the makeup artist and the hairstylist a couple pictures on Pinterest and they nailed it! They both were super fun to be around and talk to!
For this first fit, I am wearing a green army jacket from the store everyone knows and loves... Target! As well as some light washed jeans from Hollister and brown boots from Tillys. I love this outfit because it looks like I took the time to get ready, but in all reality I just zipped up a jacket, threw some jeans on, and stepped in some boots! Voila!
This outfit is one of my favorites! The skirt is from Tillys and the shirt is from my cousin's closet... literally. I love wearing shirts that are oversized because they are so comfy and you can do so much with them. For example, I could walk around looking like a sack with the shirt down to almost my knees, but instead I tied it up, threw on a skirt, and called it fashion.
We all have that one outfit our mom insists on us wearing because it's their favorite. Well, this is the "my mom told me I was dumb if I didn't wear this cute dress" outfit. I got this white off the shoulder dress in the Roxy store at Laguna Beach last year when we went on our annual family trip. The reason I got it was because my mom saw it, told me to try it on (and of course that meant I had to), and she told me that I was going to wear it for my senior pictures. Here we are almost a year later, and just like mothers do, she remembered.
I call this look the "oh crap! I have senior pictures tomorrow and need one more outfit" look. I've always wanted a leather jacket and when I found this one at TJMaxx I knew I couldn't say no. Underneath the jacket, I'm wearing a plain white fitted tank top, which is tucked into my black corduroy skirt that is from Forever 21. Although this outfit was a last minute decision, I couldn't be happier with the outcome!
Last but certainly not least is one of my favorite dresses! I bought this dress two days before my shoot at Tillys and I absolutely love it. At first putting it on took a little assistance because there is a string that wraps around my body, but once I got it down I knew this was going to be a must (not to mention it was only $12.50, it's all about the sales baby!) This dress is very flattering and totally out of my comfort zone, but I guess that's how some of the best pieces are, amirite?

2017 was... well, in a word, CRAZY! Crazy fun, crazy hectic, and crazy busy!!! Every year I set a goal for myself and my business, and 2017 was about photographing as many people as possible. So, my goal was to get 100 Seniors in front of my camera and.... I DID IT! Knowing me, I always had it in the back of my head but never ACTUALLY kept track until the beginning of 2018, when I decided to check and see how close I had gotten. I didn't expect to have made 100, but as I began counting I kept creeping closer and closer to that magic number. Until, I got down to the last few Seniors, and I did it! I photographed exactly 100 Seniors in 2017!! On top of that I also did stylized shoots, family portraits, and even out of state pictures!! I'm looking forward to 2018 being maybe not quite as crazy, but as rewarding and photo filled!! Enjoy the gallery below of my 100 Seniors of 2017!

As we welcome in 2018, and leave behind 2017 I love looking back on all the beautiful senior models. This year is going to be full of fresh looks and what better way to start off our first blog post this year with our gorgeous senior model Maya!
Okay, can we just take a second to admire Maya? A must-have for senior pictures is confidence to be yourself and to not try to mask your flaws and Maya captures this incredibly.
Q: How would you describe your personal style?
A: "My personal style is a skater and bohemian style, each day I wear one of the two types of outfits."
Maya has her own sense of style and ways to express herself. With one of her favorite style being bohemian, she captures this look perfectly in this photo with the floral mustard dress/shorts from Macy's.
"I love the bohemian style so much and wearing clothes that most people won't wear so I chose it!"
The color combination of Maya's off the shoulder pink dress and brown boots is stunning and flatters her very well.
Q: Who is your style icon?
A: "I'd have to say my style icon is Vanessa Hudgens because her style is just honestly beautiful and she isn't afraid to wear what she likes, she goes out and looks amazing without caring of what other people think of her!"
Shoot Locations: Nichols Park and Reparian Preserve

But before we get into the blog post, here are a few of our favorite NYE looks from a few members of the KCP Senior Squad
Now! Down to business!! NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS!..... yuck, I know.... BUT Katie, being the genius she is, has put a totally unique and awesome twist on the New Years Resolutions that you usually ditch by February (or if you're like me, you procrastinate a resolution until February 1st and give up by the 2nd). Her twist was inspired by a friend of hers on Facebook who is uber motivational and manages to do more in a week with her resolution than most do in a year. So here it is: each year she picks one word that she wants to model the upcoming year after and apply to as many aspects to her life as possible! And this is exactly what the KCP family has decided to do this year! Here are our One Word Resolutions!
KATIE -- BETTER
2018 for Katie is all about doing, being, and feeling BETTER! Upon hearing her word I was immediately jealous I hadn't picked it myself, but also so inspired by how honest she was! It can be hard to change and grow, but ultimately, you'll always come out the other side a BETTER person (see what I did there???). So follow Katie's lead and be honest with yourself when picking your word, 2018 is your year!
GOALS:
"Basically, in 2018, I want to make choices that will help Better my life in all aspects." -Katie Welter
MILAN -- POWER
Milan's word for 2018 is more than just having Power, but having the Power to do things for others and herself. Often times we give other people so much power over our lives and allow our power to be chipped away until we feel drained for seemingly no reason. So think hard about how your word could affect all aspects of your life and remember that it's YOUR life, YOUR progress, YOUR word.
GOALS:
TATIANNA -- MORE
Sometimes we get so caught up in the monotony of our daily life that we can forget what we really want. And for me this year is all about working harder, striving towards my goals, and doing MORE! It's ok to ask MORE of yourself and others, have the confidence to be relentless to reach what you want and need.
GOALS:
"I want to do More this year so that I can grow as a person, a friend, a sibling, a daughter, an actress, and a writer. Whenever I feel like slacking off, I can motivate myself with just one word. More." -me
I hope you found some motivation and inspiration from our One Word Resolutions and make sure to let us know your word either down in the comments below, on either of our Instagram's, or on Katie's Twitter! Now go off into the world, show your power, be better, and do more!

The slight hiccup with the experience was with the *mild* panic attack I had when we were all dressed and ready and one rogue thought popped into my head, "What if my kids turn into jerks and I look like crap?" Lucky for us Karter had only one little melt down in the middle, when it was Kooper's turn for pictures and not hers, but she recovered with only a hint of "melt down face" in her pictures with me.
In the end the pictures turned out better than I ever dreamed and there were so many incredible shots to pick from! Now for those of you wondering who did my pictures........ ME! I have my trusty remote in my hand in all of them. As you can see my kids must be used to what they are supposed to do when my camera comes out, because it is sitting on a tripod!! Thank goodness they are my little professional picture babies!
Now the only problem.... HOW AM I GOING TO TOP THIS NEXT YEAR!?!!??!!
]]>VITAMIN E OIL
I absolutely swear by this product and am convinced it can solve any of my problems in life. This is marketed for getting rid of scars and let me tell you, it does much more than that. This magical oil erases stretch marks, helps eyebrows get fuller, and moisturizes like no other. My favorite brand is "Jason Vitamin E Oil" for $8, and the smallest bottle lasts ages. Treat your skin to this great product and thank me later ;)
How to use: I apply this product every night before I go to bed wherever I feel like I need it. My biggest tip is: a little goes a long way! I put about a dime sized amount on my finger tips and massage it all over my face, into my brows, and on my lashes. Then, I take the left overs and either put it wherever I have stretch marks or any dry spots that have popped up over winter. This product is super goopy and sticky, but don't be afraid! Just because it's oil doesn't mean it will make you oily! You'll wake up feeling so smooth and your skin will surely thank you!
MOISTURIZER
The most important thing to do in winter is combat dryness in every way possible. I by no means have dry skin (in fact I tend to lean more towards the oily side, but winter somehow still manages to suck the life out of my skin. I've tested far too many moisturizers to count, and my favorite even surprised me-- Cetaphil Moisturizer! We tend to assume the higher priced a beauty product is the better it will work, but one day my porcelain skinned roommate told me she used Cetaphil moisturizer you can bet I was at Target buying it the next day. And since then I have not looked back, it's super lightweight, gentle, and best of all cheap! One downside is that it is a little bit oily, but I usually combat this by applying my sunscreen after applying this product, because sunscreen tends to be a little chalky.
How to use: If you don't wear face makeup then I would suggest to keep applying this all throughout the day, but if you're like me and wears makeup just to run downstairs then this isn't exactly possible for you. I apply this before I use my Vitamin E Oil at night and it's the first thing I put on my face after washing it in the morning.
TONER
Toner confused me for ages, like I understood it was supposed to be this wonderful thing that got rid of my dark spots and hyper pigmentation, but I had absolutely no idea when or how to use it. For awhile I had completely given up on it and threw it out of my daily routine, but recently I found a product that made me rethink my toner-hating ways. Witch Hazel is an all-natural toner that helps with dark spots, large pores, and even works as a gentle makeup remover!
How to use: After washing your face, grab a cotton round, pour some Witch Hazel on it, and wipe all around your face. Although the smell isn't super strong it definitely is different than any product I've put on my face, so I was hesitant to use it as an eye-makeup remover at first. However, I tested it in the name of beauty and can now happily say it is super gentle on your eyes. The only brand I have tried is the cheapest one I could find at Target, which is "Dickinson's Witch Hazel" and a steal at $5 for a bottle roughly the size of a large contact solution bottle. However, I have also heard, but have yet to test, that the "Thayer's" brand witch hazel is amazing and their rose infused toner is great. So there are many different options out there for Witch Hazel lovers.
FACE MASKS
If you ask me, face masks can be overrated, but there are definitely some worth while ones out there. Lately I have been really liking the "Say Yes To..." brand sheet masks, although I'm not entirely sure they do much of what they claim to do. But for my purposes they work just right. I use face masks as a skin booster when I notice it needs a little extra love or looks a bit dull. And the great thing about these masks is that you can use them more than once! I will use it once, fold it back up, stick it back it the packaging (which is still full of the face mask liquid), and zip it up in a baggy. Then you can use the other side next time you need a skin reviver! Another great mask to have in your cabinet is any type of creamy. moisturizing mask. Lately, exfoliating, tingly, and peel off masks have been a huge trend, but in the winter you want something that gives your skin the moisture it needs, not rips and scrubs it away. Unfortunately I don't have the label from my favorite moisturizing mask (I don't know what I'm going to do when it runs out) but I do know it is a papaya and pumpkin mask. These two ingredients are super soothing and my skin feels so soft and plump after I use it.
How to use: I apply any cream mask for about 20 minutes, but you can leave them on for various amounts of time because they don't crack or peel. For the "Say Yes To..." sheet masks I usually leave them on for 15-20 minutes and then massage the left over residue into my skin and leave it on over night.
Even though winter can be dull and gloomy, your skin doesn't have to! These tips are sure to help you have that summer glow all winter long. Enjoy, and let me know your go to winter skin care tips in the comments below!

LAYERS, LAYERS, LAYERS
One of the biggest trends this fall is statement coats and plush fabrics. But early fall can be absolutely miserable if you don't prepare correctly. In the morning it's freezing and all you want to do is bundle up with a coat and scarf, but by the end of the day you are drenched in sweat and wishing you'd braved the cold and just worn your fave summer shorts. It's true that this weather is almost impossible to navigate when you're half asleep trying to get ready for school or work, but the tip that I live by in early fall is LAYERS! You can still follow this fashion trend without giving up comfort. I don't know what I'd do without this magical concept, but I can rest easy knowing I can handle the crazy AZ weather.
TIP: Try to stick to light weight sweaters and coats as long as possible, so they're not a hassle to carry around the rest of the day.
STATEMENT COATS
Like we talked about before, statement coats are super trendy right now and as fall bleeds into winter we can start whipping out our favorite coats. This is definitely one of my favorite trends because it's super easy to style. I usually wear something simple, like all black, and then all I have to do is throw on a coat and I seem like I have my whole life put together. This trend is seriously magical.
TIP: Pick a bold color for your coat, because it's fun and why not?!
COMFORT IS KEY
Lucky for us this fashion season has proved that comfort is in style! That means sweat suits, baggy sweaters, and yes, even UGGS! This trend is easy enough to follow, wear something comfy and call it fashion-- because it is!
TIP: Go all out with your makeup when you wear this trend to add a glam twist. If Margot Robbie does it, you should too (that's the motto I live by).
TURTLENECKS
This is my #1 favorite trend forever and always, give me a high collar and I'm all over it. So you can bet I'm bringing out my victorian collars and turtlenecks as soon as it drops below 80F. Because of the high collar you can get away with throwing your hair up in a messy bun and calling it a day, so this look is super easy to recreate pre-coffee.
COOL WEATHER SUNNIES
Just because it's fall does NOT mean your favorite sunglasses have to go into hibernation, the suns rays will be there even on the coldest days (although it may not feel like it). So keep those eyeballs protected and grab some trendy shades!
TIP: Don't smoke cigarettes, like the girl in this picture-- just because she has good style doesn't mean she makes good life decisions. ;)
KEEP IT SIMPLE
Last but not least, a great trend this fall is to just keep it simple! Being fashionable does not by any means mean spending loads of cash on designer brands, in fact some of my favorite pieces in my closet I picked up at Goodwill! These outfits show you can easily elevate a simple look like a white t-shirt and jeans and look like a million bucks.
Now go wow everyone with your new knowledge on everything fall fashion and make sure you comment your favorite trend down below! Talk to you all soon!

Homecoming is a magical time full of beautiful scenery, amazing music, and jaw dropping dance moves... ok, maybe not so much, but the reason everyone loves homecoming isn't because of the local (and more than slightly lackluster) DJ or the sweaty high school gym. We love it because we get to dress up and feel truly beautiful. So it can feel a little overwhelming when you're trying to coordinate with your significant other, but have no fear! Down below I have a look book of super cute homecoming outfits that will make anyone shout, "COUPLE GOALS!!!"
EMERALD CITY CHIC
HOMECOMING BLOG girl green do by katie-292 featuring high heel shoes
This look is perfect for a couple that wants to keep it simple and slightly more casual. I would suggest this gorgeous emerald green and black look because it won't be super expensive, but still looks sleek and stunning. For girls, simple accessories with green and gold elevates your ensemble without looking overdone. For boys, you get the easy job because this outfit looks best if you keep it simple with a green shirt and "all black errthang."
"NEW" HOLLYWOOD
This next couple outfit I have to admit was inspired by La La Land- I'm sorry but "Another Day of Sun" is on constant loop in my head! Anyways, this look is elegant but still has a little bit of edge; I like to call it "New Hollywood." For girls, a short A-line satin dress makes a statement in and of itself but a beautiful icy blue clutch makes it easier to coordinate colors with your beaux. For both boys and girls, accessorize with silver and you'll look like you walked straight off the red carpet.

Although you might not have noticed, homecoming is fast approaching and we thought we'd help you out by conveniently putting all the dates and times of Homecoming games, carnivals, and dances! If this doesn't convince you to keep reading our blog posts every Tuesday and Thursday, I'm not sure what will. A video of Katie line-dancing in a purple polka-dot tutu? Wait, that's not such a bad idea... ANYWAYS! Show us some love by following both Katie and I on Instagram, and feel free to comment down below because no one ever does and I pinky promise I will reply to you (because chances are I'm looking through the comments during my Sociology class- aka the most boring class on the face of the planet, except maybe, like, geology or something I guess).

Now that we are all officially "back-to-school" I started to think about what I was doing this time last year...
CUT TO: Me franticly flipping through college brochures, scholarship applications, and Vogue magazines... c'mon I can't stay focused all the time! Anyways, the beginning of my senior year had me stressing out, and if you're a senior or have ever been a senior, you feel my pain. I was wondering what college I would go to, how many credits I needed to graduate, and don't even get me started on potentially picking a major! But I have created this check-list for all you seniors out there so you can stop stressing and start having an amazing senior year!
The biggest piece of advice I can give when deciding on a college is to pick a college based on what you want, not what your friends, family, or teachers want. Of course the who are important in your life should be allowed to have opinions on where you go to school, but don't solely rely on what others want because when it comes down to it you're the one who will be living there, studying there, and creating a career there.
My decision process went something like this: I started my college search looking at schools in California because of some of my major choices and because I act in my free time. I then started looking at schools in Colorado because two of my siblings live there and most of my extended family lives there. I then started looking in Arizona because of the convenience. After this I finally made my decision. You may be asking, "Wait why didn't you choose California or Colorado," and "How did you choose between all the in-state schools?" Well, first I thought financially- California would be near impossible because it is one of the most expensive states to live in and out of state tuition is sky high. So California was out. Next, I thought about schools in Colorado. I toured Denver University, Regis University, and UC Denver. All of which were great, but I just couldn't imagine myself living there and being happy. Lastly, I looked at in-state schools- University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University, Arizona State University, and Grand Canyon University. UofA and NAU were almost immediately crossed off the list because of both my major and I honestly didn't love the schools. That left ASU and GCU, this was the toughest choice of all. My sister goes to ASU and loves it there, it has the night life of Tempe, the most students of any public university, and a great Honors college. And although this is the perfect school for my sister, it wasn't right for me. Ultimately, I chose GCU because it was the best fit for me, and I couldn't be happier with my choice! So go with your gut and you'll never regret your decision.
Scholarships, Scholarships, and More Scholarships
Applying for scholarships can be daunting, there are so many out there yet so little information on how to apply for them. Here are a few links to help you with your search:
FastWeb.com - this site allows you to put in your information and will narrow your search for you!
Scholarships.com - I mean... the name says it all
ScholarshipsandGrants.com - A simple and easy to use data base for both scholarships and grants
Lastly, make sure to ask your guidance counselor for community scholarships, you'd be surprised by how many of your school's and community's scholarships go unapplied for!
Get Your Teacher Recommendations Early!
Now I don't mean come in on the first day of school asking your English teacher to gush about what an amazing student you are, but don't come in the day before your recommendations are due. I had a friend who did this and let's just say they didn't have the best luck with scholarships... Pick your time wisely, I would suggest right after you just aced a test or turned in a killer report on that super boring book your teacher loves. This will earn you brownie points and your success will be fresh in your teachers head while they write their recommendation. Also, don't just get a recommendation from your favorite teachers. Ask all your teachers for recommendations and pick your favorite because although your choir teacher may love you, they might not give as compelling a recommendation as your AP English Literature teacher. But short doesn't always mean bad, the two recommendations I ended up choosing were completely different. One class I worked extremely hard in and was geared more toward my major and the other I was very talkative, relaxed, and more myself. Recommendations from these two teachers showed both sides to me and worked so well together, and one was only about a paragraph!
I hope you all take these tips and put them to good use! Happy scholarship hunting!

College move-in day is approaching us rapidly, and if you're anything like me, the only thing you can think about is how to pack as much style and comfort into a 15x15 room. Now that I'm (almost) done dorm shopping I thought I'd share with you guys my top tips and tricks for making the most of your room! Let's dive right in!
Tips:
Maximize Wall Space:
Although dorm rooms don't leave much room for anything other than a bed and a desk, the best way to make your room seem bigger is to utilize all the wall space you're given. A cheap way to do this is print off posters from online! For my dorm I found a vintage poster website (click here) to mix and match with other art prints I have for my wall. I also picked up some great (and inexpensive) hanging planters at Marshall's that you can hang super easily with CommandHooks! This is another great way to open up your room but not sacrifice precious floor space.
Get Inspired:
I would be an absolute mess if it weren't for Pinterest and YouTube when it comes to dorm decorating. I scoured YouTube for hours upon hours to find the best ways to decorate and was pleasantly surprised to find great DIY decorations (that are actually cute) and fantastic websites with Promo/Coupon codes galore.
A great, in-depth dorm tour video is by CatCreature on YouTube (click here to watch), which is where I got the idea to press flowers into frames as wall decorations. I got these great frames from World Market and picked the flowers on a trip to Colorado. This is a great opportunity to personalize your room and have fun doing it!
Tricks:
Shop Smart:
Whenever I would shop for my dorm I always tried to find coupons or discount codes. The best deals I have found so far have all been online. One of the best apps I downloaded was The Target Cartwheel app, all you have to do is download the app, scan the barcode of anything you want to buy while you're in the store, and it let's you save any coupon available. It also lets you know if there is a better deal and gives you exclusive coupons! Best decision of my life!
Buy Online:
The best way to save money is to BUY ONLINE! This way you can always find the best deals and not have to pick it up yourself! My favorite website for dorm shopping is definitely Society6, they offer free shipping with discount codes (which, trust me, are super easy to find), have a sale legit every other day, and you will definitely find something unique because artists upload new designs every day. Society6 is inexpensive, great quality, and super fast with delivery times. Plus, they sell everything from pillows (like mine shown below) to phone cases, to high-quality prints. Definitely try this site out!
I hope you all enjoyed my tips and tricks for dorm decorating and I wish you all the luck in your room decorating endeavors! Make sure to follow Katie and I on Instagram and Twitter for blog updates!

Summer '17 has been packed full of new style trends, and these celebs have been bringing only their best. In my last post I talked about pulling myself out of a style lull, and what helped me was getting inspiration from others. Sometimes trying to search Instagram for ideas can be a bit overwhelming so my go-to trick is searching for my favorite celebs and looking at their street style. Although I don't necessarily take the same fashion risks, I find so much inspiration and can put together entirely new looks from a closet I found bleak and boring before! Here's a look book of some of my favorite looks worn this summer!
Ella Purnell in an adorable white set with nude chunky heels.
Lily-Rose Depp stepping out for brunch with friends in a floral mini-dress and Chanel mock heels paired with a red backpack and oversized sunnies.
Kaia Gerber has been making a name for herself in the fashion world while looking like a replica of her famous mom, Cindy Crawford.
"Sleepwear" fashion seems to be making an appearance on and off the runway as Gigi Hadid is seen sporting and emerald green pinstripe "pajama" suit and strappy heels.
Technicallyyyyyy this isn't street style but c'mon, La La Land was amazing in every way including the amazing work by Costume Designer Mary Zophres. Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling are dressed in what Gophers describes as, "Retro realistic" and I'm totally on-board.
Hailey Baldwin mixes sleek and slouchy while out shopping in LA.
Martha Hunt goes business casual while walking her pup in oversized sleeve button-up paired with jeans and Converse.
Niall Horan impresses at the MMVAs wearing all-black save a statement suede jacket.
Olivia Munn has stepped up her fashion game after her recent split, and ups the ante for airport style.
Orlando Bloom needs no background -- but I can't tell who's cuter, the pup or Bloom?
J-Lo is rocking the oversized Aviators and double striped trousers.
Kendall Jenner is definitely revamping her style, and I can't stop staring.
Margot Robbie goes for a comfy yet cute look in olive overalls and Converse.
Leandra Medine (THE blogger extraordinaire) mixes runway and sports casual with this killer look.
Yes. Kendall Jenner is bringing the fanny pack back. No. You do not need a Louis Vuitton to be just as trendy.
Ryan Gosling is the master of dressing down, why dress up when you've got that face?
Last, but not least, Bella Hadid looks killer in camo pants and an off-the-shoulder sheer top. We are all very jealous, Bella.
Hope you found some outfit inspo from these looks- or at least enjoyed all the beautiful people. I'm off to figure out how to recreate every one of them with about $7 in my bank account! See ya soon!
Check out my last blog post on 2017s "It" Girls where I talk about my favorite girl celebs and break down some of their outfits.

The term “it” girl always made me think of a 16 year old girl on a tween magazine cover with way too many exclamation marks on the cover, or a skinny blonde socialite with fuzzy pink shoes and a pooch that also posed as an accessory. However, the 2017 “It” Girl seems much more accessible, and these are the girls that re-inspired my love for fashion. My biggest piece of advice if you need some fashion inspiration? Type in the name of your favorite celeb and attach “street style” to the end of it. This is a sure fire way to easily see high fashion looks that aren’t only for runway models. Here are some of my favorite 2017 “It” Girls.
Lily-Rose Depp
She is style, she is grace, she is Johnny Depp’s daughter-- what more could you ask for? She has already starred in 5 movies, has over 3.1 million followers on Instagram, and is younger than I am. Although when I have to constantly remind myself not to compare when I see her, I like to pretend that wearing a similar style will make up for all the differences right? Right?? Anyways, as a Chanel ambassador it is inevitably true that this girl has style, and here is a super easy look to recreate.
It doesn’t get any simpler than this, but it is the accessories that make the difference here, oversized sunglasses are a huge trend this summer so of course Lily has a pair dangling in view with her outfit. She wears a simple, black, fitted romper but this could easily be traded for a black cami and black shorts. Another popular trend is white tennis shoes with absolutely everything (flash back to J. Anniston in Friends much?) and Lily changes it up a bit by pairing her dainty outfit with large high top sneakers. Lastly, she finishes off the outfit with a tiny gold necklace and black and gold belt to tie the outfit together. This outfit is so easily recreated and effortlessly fashion forward.
Bella Hadid
Another “It” Girl I have been loving is Bella Hadid. From stalking her Instagram, to scouring Snapchat magazines for her daily, I think you can say I’m obsessed. However, I chalk it up to research in the name of fashion and that’s good enough for me! It’s no secret fashion designers love her, in every paparazzi pic she is wearing only the best brands and eternally looks like she is stepping onto the runway. Don’t be intimidated though, here is a Hadid outfit that is super simple yet chic.
If you’re like me and would rather not wear stilettos to dinner but still want to look super cute I would swap out the heels for my favorite white tennis shoes and opt for red lipstick to look more polished. Either way, simple skinnies and a t-shirt is an outfit I can wrap my head around (and my wallet).
Selena Gomez
Lastly, a girl that I have always looked up to when it comes to fashion, Selena Gomez. She’s been an “It” Girl for years now and her style is super easily recreated. Holding the record for most Instagram followers and never disappointing with her summer hits, Selena Gomez’s style is nothing if not versatile and accessible. Here’s a look to love and recreate this summer.
Although it is highly unlikely I will ever be able to afford an item from Alexa Chung’s new fashion line (the top retails at $370) this outfit is so trendy yet so simple. High-waisted denim jeans paired with a cropped tank and cross body bag, throw in a pair of Aviators and orange sandals? This may just be the perfect summer outfit. Swap out the almost $400 crop top with a $10 Forever 21 tank and this outfit is as good as yours. It’s a win for me.
Although fashion may be intimidating, always know that you have options and whatever makes you feel best is usually the way to go.
Make sure to tell me what you think in the comment section below or follow me on any of social media accounts (links below). I promise I won’t take such a long break next time! If you liked this post make sure to check in later this week for a summer look book, which will probably include more styles from the “It” Girls above!

Ryan will be attending Arizona State University in the fall and attained a coveted spot on their football team.
Ryan attends Basha High School and played as quarterback on the football team.
Ryan was on the All CUSD Football Team as 1st Team Quarterback.
To be a sports star today you have to have more than a good physique and winning smile, you also have to have a likability to you, and this is exactly what Blake has. In order to embody the “sports star of today” you need style, personality, and a social media following- and this inspires athletes like Blake who is, “Inspired by all the athletes I follow on social media and see the clothes they are wearing.” Social media opens up a new, much smaller world, between the athlete and aspiring athlete. Blake describes his personal style as, “Sporty and casual” and his typical outfit consists of joggers paired with a simple tee. Blake describes his best technique for motivating himself as perseverance, he also credits his longtime girlfriend, and fellow KCP Senior Squad Model, Morgan Nasby as a huge motivator. As for his passions? He is most passionate about eating right and working out, he is always trying to improve his body in the best, most efficient ways possible. When it comes to style he remains versatile but always keeps comfort in mind due to his busy schedule. As he moves on to college he will be attending Arizona State University and majoring in Finance with a minor in marketing. Although he will not be continuing his football career on a collegiate level he will take the many things he has learned as a teenage athlete and carry them with him throughout his life.
Congratulations to both Blake and Ryan on their great accomplishments as high school athletes and we wish you all the luck in the world as you move onto college.
How the heck are Katie and I supposed to say goodbye to all the amazing KCP Senior Squad members of 2017?! Luckily for us, every year new KCP Seniors join us and help us remember that although we will miss the year before, there are always beautiful seniors to help fill the void. Be sure to check out our previous blog post on the KCP Senior Squad of 2018! Now I'm off to frantically plan everything I have to do in the 6 days (yes! I said 6!!!!) I have left of high school! Thanks for reading!

There I am again. Sitting on the bathroom floor wondering how the Kardashians can look so great with highlighter but I look like a 5 year old girl that got a glittery makeup kit for Christmas when I try using it. Questions run through my head like, "How did I get here?" and "What did I do to deserve this?" I am faced again with the seemingly eternal problem of never having any ounce of an idea on how to "beat my face" or get the enviable "glow" that highlighter has earned its name after. Luckily for you (and me) never again will any of us have to walk past the highlighter aisle in Sephora and run away in fear (this may be an exaggeration... but you get what I mean). Premier Makeup Artist Trish of Labelle Artistry is here to save the day and teach us the ins and outs of obtaining the perfect highlight!
Steps for the Perfect Highlight:
1) Products - Trish swears by MAC Cosmetics so it's no surprise that is exclusively what she used to achieve this look. The highlighter she chose was Extra Dimension Skin Finish ($33) and she applied it using the 184 Duo Fibre Fan Brush ($25), of course any drug store highlighter and fan brush will work just fine in a crunch.
2) Picking Shades - You want to pick a color that suits you best and will complement your skin tone. This can sometimes sound easier said than done, but a good trick is to match your highlighter to your blush and this will create a more cohesive look, "For Alexis I went with a highlighter that was more pink and peachy since I used a peach color blush on her cheeks."
3) Prep! - The prep work is absolutely crucial and Trish's first tip is to assess what you have to work with, "If you have normal or dry skin you want to first gently spray your brush with a setting spray, I swear by MACs Prep and Prime Fix+ ($24). If you have oily skin you can skip the setting spray because the moisture your skin provides will help the application." That's right ladies! Our oil can actually come in handy for once!
4) Application - When applying your highlighter you want to wait until all your makeup is finished. Then the highlighter should be placed above the cheekbone on the highest point, "Highlighter should serve as your 'last accessory'" says Trish. So treat it as such, use it sparingly and strategically. Highlighter should be applied where light would naturally hit your face- bridge and tip of the nose, high points of the cheekbones, the temples, cupid's bow, brow bone, and the high point of the chin.
5) Perfection! - Spritz yourself with a bit of setting spray and you're off to the races! Now go show off that highlight and blind everyone with the gloriousness of "the glow"!
Now that we can all consider ourselves "Highlighter Experts" a special thanks to the amazingly talented Trish, because let's face it, without her we would still be sat alone in our bathrooms with an unopened highlighter gathering dust. Now I am off to show off my new found ability to apply makeup without looking like a toddler and feeling much more supermodel-esque. Make sure to check back every Monday for more tips and tricks from our new series "Makeup Mondays"!

With the second weekend of Coachella upon us, all of us are feeling a little more adventurous with our style choices. Whether you are soaking up the sun and listening to all your favorite artists at Coachella, or, like me, enjoying the perfect spring weather and living vicariously through friends on Snapchat, you can amp up your weekend look with this trending accessory.... FLOWER CROWNS!
Flower crowns are the perfect spring accessory; they add a pop of color to a simple outfit, work as an attention grabber, and (get this) can be made at home!
Here's how to do it!
Supplies:
STEP 1: Take your FLOWER WIRE and make a circle, measure it around your head and fit it to however tight/loose you want it (I like to do a double loop so it rests more comfortably on my head).
STEP 2: Use the WIRE CUTTERS to cut the flower wire and close off the circle with FLORAL TAPE (wrap the tape around multiple times to ensure a long lasting hold).
STEP 3: If you are including GREENERY and/or very small flowers you'll want to lay these on first. Place them evenly around the crown and once you have the perfect placement tape them all down with the FLORAL TAPE.
STEP 4: Now it's time to add the FLOWERS! To attach the flowers make sure the stems are at least 2-3 inches long. Place flowers evenly apart among the greenery, then use the FLORAL TAPE to tape down the stems. You'll want to wrap these multiple times (like you did with the wire circle in STEP 2) to make sure you don't have any rogue flowers!
STEP 5: Pop this puppy on because you're done and ready to hit that music festival!
There you have it, the perfect flower crown that is completely customizable to fit any occasion! Make sure to send us pictures of the crowns you made by tagging Cadwallader photography or #cadwalladerflowercrown ! Let us know if you have any tips for making these crowns even better! And, of course, thank you to our gorgeous model Mackenzie Butler! This is me signing off, time to go flood myself in spring flowers and floral tape. Enjoy your weekend and if you're at Coachella, know everyone here at Cadwallader Photography will be enviously watching your Snapchat stories all weekend!

]]>When you are young every adult, from your mom and dad to that weird Aunt Deb (that you're still not 100% sure if she's actually related to you or not), tells you to savor every moment and cherish every friendship. Yet, somehow, we are still leaving high school wishing we had spent just a few minutes longer singing at the top of our lungs to our favorite song, or taken one more long drive with a best friend. But the amazing thing about this time, is that we know we have so much more life to live, so many more adventures to embark on, and so many more memories to make...and so all graduation does, is help us take these last six weeks and make the most of them.
Now I could go on and on about sappy details of the "best years of our lives" and the "unforgettable memories" but there are far more pressing matters that are on every senior's mind right now... "What on Earth am I going to wear to graduation?!" Never fear, for we have done all the hard work for you, and got some help from our Class of '17 Seniors one last time.
Our first look is modeled with Perry's maroon cap and gown. This color can seem a little tricky to match with both outfit and makeup wise, but here's a few tips:
Creating Depth and Texture: The worst thing to do for graduation is to match the color of your outfit exactly with your cap and gown. The model above chose instead to wear a white skater dress with a brighter red as an accent. This helps create dimension as well as add texture. She created even more contrast with her jewelry choice of an emerald green statement ring. This goes to show that a simple outfit doesn't always mean boring!
This next look incorporates a few different styles flawlessly to create a classy and modern graduation outfit. Here's how to recreate it:
Cut and Style: The key to achieving this look is its use of differing cuts. We tend to want to stick to one cut for every part of our outfit, but this can make the outfit either look a bit frumpy or too simple. This model chose to incorporate a semi-loose top with extremely flowy and frilly sleeves with a tight fitted jean skirt. Not only does this create depth and texture, but it also accentuates her natural shape. It crops up and tightens at the waist, shows off her slim legs, and pulls attention to her neck and face. She then adds the finishing touches with a simple, thin brown belt and long gold necklace. This outfit is perfect for any color cap and gown and will definitely attract the right kind of attention!
Our last model chose to take a different route for her outfit. Many girls want to go casual for the big day but aren't exactly sure how to go about it. Going casual doesn't mean you will look undone, but it can show off your natural beauty and of course the comfort factor is a major plus! Here's how to make casual work for you:
Polish and Shine: The key to dressing casual is the polish of the whole ensemble. The model above wears a crisp white shirt with a black lace bralette peaking through, a pair of pristine blue jeans, and a simple gold bracelet. However, you can't stop there if you want to elevate your casual outfit to a polished graduation outfit. The model shapes her face with soft, classic curls and uses a light hand on her makeup. Overall, her skin is dewy, hair is soft, and outfit is crisp and clean-cut. Her choice to go casual only adds to her natural beauty and stunning shine!
Get ready seniors, because we are closing in on the big day and with these tips you can have a flawless graduation day outfit! Just don't forget to pack plenty of Kleenex and waterproof mascara.
I wish you all the luck in the world and enjoy these last few weeks at the schools you spent four years dreading getting up every morning and driving to. ;)

Q: What clothing store do you shop at most often?
A: TJ Maxx for sure. Twelve dollars for a super cute top, are you kidding?
Q: How would you describe your personal style?
A: Business Casual. And I’m huge on rings and bracelets, I have a go-to set that I wear everyday.
Q: Who is your style icon?
A: Stacey Morgan now!
(I’m telling you, Stacey is a wizard!)

I don’t know about you, but I am constantly in a state of wonder when I see girls with perfectly made-up hair everyday. Brianna of course has lovely long locks and our hair stylist for the shoot was able to speed through all that hair and make every style look effortless. Allison has some tips and tricks for us girls that need a little help in the hair department.
Q: What is your favorite styling tool?
A: My curling iron by Hot Tools.
Q: Bobby Pins or Hair Ties?
A: Do I have to choose?! Ok… probably bobby pins, they’re more versatile.
Q: I’m gonna set-up a little scenario (not at all based off of me 90% of the time). You’re on 3 day old unwashed hair, you’re about to run out the door but still want to look cute, what’s your go to style?
A: Braid or half-up, they’re both super simple but show effort. Plus, they cover up the grease!

I love makeup and am always scouring YouTube looking for new looks to try out, but who better to ask about my burning make-up questions than a real-life makeup artist? Trust me, when you meet one you feel as if you’re in a room with a unicorn that has perfect eyeliner all the time.
Q: What tips do you have for girls with brown eyes when applying eye makeup?
A: To make brown eyes pop you always want to go with colors that will complement them. I usually go for anything with either gold or purple undertones - maybe even auburn. Anything to bring more attention to the eyes.
Q: What’s your favorite makeup brand?
A: MAC! Of course!
Q: I’m gonna throw out another scenario (again, this never happens to me, because I roll out of bed with eyeshadow and bronzer all perfectly blended! Ok maybe not, but a girl can dream). It’s a Monday morning and you’re wearing a white v-neck, jeans, and tennis shoes. What do you do, makeup wise, to elevate your look?
A: Can the shirt be black?! I usually go super dramatic if my outfit is going to be plain. Dark eyes, lashes, and shimmer to amp it up.
Want to book Stacey? Follow her for more info:

Now that all your burning questions (and mine) have been answered, it’s time for me to sign off! Make sure to check out everyone’s Twitter and Instagrams and share some love! Thank you to Brianna, Allison, Stacey, and Katie!

]]>Our first model is no stranger to Katie’s camera, Brady Yamamoto is a student at Basha High, elite gymnast, and officially the first member of the 2018 Senior Squad! On top of being an amazing gymnast, Brady now gets to flex his modeling muscles on the Senior Squad. Keep an eye out for Brady this coming year!
Brady's Twitter: @BradyYamamoto
Last years Senior Squad group started with over 100 applications and 21 models on the senior squad. Walking into the conference room today started with Katie frantically saying, “I'm so nervous, why can't this be over Snapchat?! Plus, my favorite shoes just broke!” Luckily we were saved soon by the Senior Model Applicants walking in. First impression? Gorgeous. Gorgeous. And, yeah you guessed it - Gorgeous. Getting started I was stuffing my face with chocolate and Katie was already apologizing for her public speaking abilities (but c’mon, Katie could make friends with a plastic bag).
Something new Katie has incorporated (which is purely due to her impatience when she sees a gorgeous face) is holding a shoot right after the meeting for the Seniors that sign their KCP contract day of. So say congrats to the first round of our new 2018 Senior Squad Models!
Macie Mann immediately draws attention with her unique style and flowing blonde hair. To the shoot she wore a white, lace dress from Forever 21 and a pair of cowboy boots straight out of Nashville (and her mom's closet)! If you know Macie you know that she is an avid singer and performer and always up to get in front of a crowd. So it is obvious that when asked what she is most passionate about she replied without hesitation, "Music!" So get ready for some music themed shoots coming from this country girl. Macie is most excited about the stylized shoots this coming year, and we sure are looking forward to seeing her charm shine through.
Macie's Twitter: @MacieMann
Ashley Bellows walked into the meeting and quickly filled the room with her energetic personality and positive energy. After meeting Katie, Ashley described how she, "loved her energy and positivity! She makes me so excited to start!" which Katie immediately responded with, "Yeah! 'Energy!'" Along with a super bubbly personality, Ashley is most passionate about track and field, which she just recently began but has enjoyed every minute of. She describes her style as "a little bit of everything" and usually consists of a casual outfit of jeans and a basic tee, but she loves the occasional fall colored dress. We are so excited to see what Ashley will do this upcoming year as a KCP Senior!
Ashley's Twitter: @BellowsAshley
Arvrissa Williams is just as comfortable in front of the camera as she is on the basketball court. The first thing you think when you see Arvrissa is: stunning! She describes her style as sporty and there is no hiding her ability to put together a trendy outfit! She is absolutely obsessed with shoes (her mom described her a "shoe fanatic") and uses them as the focal point for most of her outfits. Arvrissa is most excited for her own personal Senior Photoshoot as a KCP Senior, to which her mom quickly replied, "She means it being all about her!" Katie and I are looking forward to Arvrissa's mix of sporty and dressy outfits and of course that gorgeous smile!

Get ready folks, because this year is a great one for KCP Seniors and we can't wait to welcome even more seniors into the 2018 Senior Squad! #1: Now is NOT the time to try something new! Dress to suit you and your personality. If you are not comfortable in your outfits, you won't be comfortable in your portraits. Whether your style is edgy, country chic, fashion forward, or just down-right comfy, stay true to yourself, while dressing to look your best.
#2: TRY ON ALL YOUR OUTFITS THE NIGHT BEFORE!! Believe me when I tell you, nothing will put a damper on your Senior Portraits then putting on one of your outfits only to realize it is too short, see through, or doesn't fit the way you want or remember. So put your entire outfit on prior to your session (including accessories, shoes, undergarments and jewelry). Then, pack them up neatly so nothing wrinkles and you don't forget anything.
#3: Packing up for your session tips: Pack everything in a piece of luggage, keeping everything folded neatly. If it wrinkles easily, keep it on a hanger. Put all your accessories for each outfit in a ziplock bag, then you can keep each outfit's accessories organized and separated. Try keeping the entire outfit and accessories together while packing, so you don't forget anything during the photoshoot and everything is easy to find.
#4: Remember, your nails and hair are an accessory that day, so make sure your roots and nails (toes included if you have any open toe shoes) are the way you want!
#5: Outfit Tip for the ladies: Make sure some part of your outfit is fitted. I know we all love those flowy dresses, but they are not always the most flattering in a portrait. If you are remotely self-conscious make sure some part of your outfit is fitted, ie: jeans, top or use a belt to show you figure.
#6: I can't say this enough: ACCESSORIES, ACCESSORIES, ACCESSORIES!! You might not wear them daily, but when you are putting your outfit together think about how you can model that outfit. Seriously, stand in front of the mirror and try doing 10 different poses changing up your hands? Hats, scarves, jackets, bracelets, necklaces, rings, earrings, head pieces, jeans/shorts with pockets! Try and have 1 or 2 of those in each outfit. Sports equipments, animals, cars, just to name some ideas for other accessories you can include in your portrait. These help show your personality and will definitely help you feel more comfortable in posing.
Now check out some of the incredible outfits that we have seen for Class of 2017 thus far!!

Morgan is a dream to photograph, it helps that her momma loves to take pictures too, so I think she is used to being in front of a camera. Lets just say NATURAL!! Her outfits were perfect for all 3 photo-shoots. And thanks to Makeup-Lounge AZ, LaBelle Artistry and Styled by Hayley she looked amazing every time.
Here are some of my favorites from her sessions! I can't wait to see what this girl does in her life.
]]>This morning I was emailing back and forth with someone and Kooper said "Momma, come look at this, hurry." I was so busy I said "Hold on Kooper, momma is working real quick. His response made me stop in my tracks "Momma, but you are always working." Wow, my 3-year-old realizes that I am always on my phone. Well that has got to stop. Starting today, I am designing a new work-flow for when I am at home. I am going to set aside specific times of the day to take a break from being a mom to being a business owner. When I am in my busy season, that is easy because I head to the office every afternoon, but in my slow-season I tend to work from home more than studio. It is my hope that this helps everyone. It is not fair to you that I am preoccupied with a one-year-old attached to my leg while I am emailing you. I want to be able to give everyone 100% off my attention and that is what is going to happen!
Now this is going to be a work in progress, so please bare with me as I make this transition into a new work/home life balance.
I have to keep reminding myself "My kids are important and I can't be with them and you at the same time, all the time."

I can't even decide what I want my New Years Resolution to be yet! All I know, is I am going to make 2016 amazing!! This year I am not going to procrastinate (which I obviously am failing at already since my NYE post is 2 weeks late), I am going to get organized (those of you who have been to my studio are laughing right now, I know), and I am going to try not to not wear yoga pants 4-5 days I am working, which is going to be really hard cuz they are soooo much more comfortable then real clothes). Oh and I am going to blog more of my gorgeous seniors!!
So kicking of the year, here is my first blog of 2016!!
Thank you to these gorgeous ladies below ↓ for getting all dolled up in your gorgeous dressed on a freezing (well Arizona freezing) cold day and coming to hang out with me! This was my first New Years Eve shoot and definitely not my last (I am already planning this years)!
Happy 2016 Everyone, Lets Make It Awesome!!
]]>Class of 2016, it is time to start thinking about how you want your Senior Portraits to look!! So you need to book now! My calendar will fill up fast in August and September, so don't wait to book! DO NOT FORGET ABOUT YOUR FREE SESSION IF YOU DO PICTURES BY OCTOBER!! It give you the opportunity to get everything you want, amazing water pictures and pictures at the end of the year!!

I knew I wanted 3 gorgeous girls that had completely different traits for this session, but that is not always easy to find. But, they were right in front of me. Two of my #seniorsquadmodels (Alyssa and Sabryn) and one of my gorgeous previous clients (Kailey) were the perfect girls for this session. I knew the moment I photographed them the first time that they needed to be apart of this session and was thrilled when they were just as excited about this session as I was.
So the planning began! I got the gorgeous models, the horse and with the horse came the perfect location, Tyler Farms, LLC. The owner Scott was amazing for letting me come on to his farm and do this session.
Of course every amazing photo shoot needs amazing Hair and Makeup, right?!? Hayley Drummond couldn't have done a more perfect job on hair and Madisson Gumm rocked out perfect makeup for Alyssa!
Then the real fun started! Asking these gorgeous models suffer in 114 degrees in the middle of a farm and look amazing (of course after getting a warning of rattle snakes, and other fun desert creatures). Well they freaking ROCKED it, and no one complained (well except Jared, but we are used to that, haha). They did everything I asked while rotating in and out of the car to cool off in the air conditioning!
Once again, thank you so much for everyone involved in this amazing session! I couldn't be more excited and happy with the results!
Now on to my next Stylized Endeavor!! Stay Tuned....
]]>Well that is exactly what Brynn and I did for her Senior Portraits! We met in Newport Beach, California a couple weeks ago! I was so excited when they called and asked if it was an option (note to every senior - YES I WILL ALWAYS TRAVEL!). I got a little worried coming into the weekend because forecast said rain, but we did not get 1 drop and it was gorgeous out!
Brynn's hair and makeup was amazing, loved her outfits and seriously, could you have a better location!! I had so much fun doing these and as you can see, so did she!!
Just another quick note, if you want your pictures done anywhere near water, plan on me having you get in the water - even if it is cold :)
Check out Brynn's Epic Senior Session below!

Jared is a 2015 Senior at Basha High School! He is a rock star football player and is amazing to photograph! He is so calm and fun! I don’t think Jared has a shy bone in his body! Jared is one of my Senior Squad Models/Reps at Basha and I couldn’t be more excited about sharing his session! We started out in my home-studio, and then head over to Basha to do pictures on the field and around the school!
Jared and his family were so much fun during the session, I even put them to work holding reflectors! I love when parents come and become free labor
Alright, I know this is what you really came here to see, check out Jared’s Session ↓↓↓below↓↓↓!!
]]>This poor girl is going to have me harassing her until she goes off to college every time I need a gorgeous model for a fun shoot. I have even started having her watch Kooper!! Lets just say, Breanna you are stuck with me until College, if I let you go!

Henry seriously has it all!! The looks, the fashion sense, the personality, the amazing ability to be natural and amazing in front of the camera! And most of all the brains!! I love talking to him about his college plans and what schools he is looking at (schools that most kids don't have a chance to get into). He is the most amazing kid I know! I love his entire family! I have personality decided that if he decides on Columbia that his mom and I are going to have a few trips together to visit him so he can show me around New York! It honestly feels impossible that he graduating this year. It was just yesterday I did Sydney's pictures and their family pictures! There is no way it has been 2 years already! I am so excited to watch him do amazing things in life! Mr. and Mrs. Chong should be so very proud of how well they did raising their amazing children!
Now that I have sapped up this blog post uggling over how much I adore this kid, lets get on to the fun part, his session!! I true Cadwallader Photography form, we had absolutely no plan on where we were gonna shoot, just an idea of what he wanted! Henry and his mom Sue met at my house and we drove together off into the distance, lol! We headed towards Saguaro Lake and once I found a spot I thought would be perfect we literally pulled off on the side of the road and started shooting!! AND SERIOUSLY IT WAS AMAZING!! As usually, Henry killed it in front of the camera! Check out a few shots from this ridiculously amazing session below ↓↓↓↓↓
